ALBANY, N.Y.- The College of Saint Rose was defeated 6-3 and 2-0 today in a pair of tight battles against Northeast-10 Conference-leading Adelphi at Cathy Haker Field.
Trailing 4-0 in the opener, the Golden Knights got on the board with three runs in the bottom of the fourth inning.Â

Ellen Fuda provided the big hit in the frame for Saint Rose, driving in the freshman pair of left fielder
Mattison Muller and third baseman
Emma Schaub with a single up the middle. Sophomore
Ciana Phillips raced around to score from first base on the same play after a miscue in the outfield by Adelphi.
The Panthers followed the Golden Knight rally with two more runs in the top of the fourth to extend the cushion to the winning margin of 6-3.
Lindsey Hibbs struck out seven of the 12 batters she faced in 3.1 innings of relief to earn the save for Adelphi.

Madison Chandler each tallied two hits in game one for the Golden Knights (14-31/10-16 NE10).
Adelphi (39-11/22-4 NE10) completed the sweep after junior pitcher Claire Fon held Saint Rose to just two hits in the finale. Fon improved to 21-4 in the circle behind a seven strikeout, 7.0 inning shutout.
Redshirt freshman right fielder Courtney Wengryn went 3-for-4 with an RBI for the Panthers in game two.
