ALBANY, N.Y.- The College of Saint Rose commenced the 2022-23 season with a exhibition against University at Albany tonight in Daniel P. Nolan Gymnasium. The Golden Knights fought with the Division 1 visitors through three quarters, before the Great Danes pulled away late to take the 59-43 victory.

Isabel Sanchez topped the Golden Knights with nine points, while freshman guard
Aniya McDonald-Perry grabbed a team-best nine rebounds. Sophomore guard
Ryley Blasetti distributed five assists and tallied two steals.

Kaelah Carter brought the Golden Knights to within 35-32 with four minutes remaining in the third quarter, however the Great Danes would own 24 of the final 37 points to secure the win.
Graduate student guard Ellen Hahne registered a game-high 29 points and tallied 10 rebounds to lead UAlbany.
Looking ahead, the Golden Knights begin regular season play with a tournament on Friday, November 11 and Saturday, November 12 at Wilmington University, where Saint Rose will take on Goldey-Beacom and Wilmington in a pair of non-conference contests.Â
