MANCHESTER, N.H.- The College of Saint Rose wrapped the 2022 season today with a three-set defeat at Southern New Hampshire. The Penmen, who sit in the top-four of the Northeast-10 Conference, claimed the victory by scores of 25-19, 25-21, and 25-22.
Junior outside hitter
Jessica Vargas registered nine kills to lead Saint Rose. Sophomore middle blocker
Karleigh Fripp tallied eight kills and freshman
Teresa Moulder landed six attacks.
Junior setter
Valeria Jorge finished with 26 assists and 10 digs. Freshman defensive specialist
Camryn Knight lifted 10 digs as well.
Sophomore outside hitter Carmen Bernardis and graduate student middle blocker Alice Arletti recorded 10 kills each to help Southern New Hampshire win its third match in a row.
Notes: Jorge ranks second in the league with 899 assists, while Vargas is tied for fifth in the conference with 290 kills…Cavalcanti is first in the NE10 with 58 aces...The Golden Knights are first in the conference with 211 total team blocks, with Cavalcanti (87), Fripp (72), and Jorge (67) individually owning the first, second, and fifth-highest block assists marks in the NE10.
