PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. – The College of Saint Rose suffered its first Northeast-10 Conference setback of the season with tonight's 75-61 defeat at still unbeaten Pace University.

The Setters (7-0/3-0 NE10) held the Golden Knights to 36.8 percent (21-for-57) shooting from the floor and turned 21 turnovers into 33 points to solidify its standing atop the conference's Southwest Division.

Pace outscored Saint Rose (4-2/1-1 NE10) 25-10 throughout the final 14 minutes of the first half to go in the locker room up 18, 39-21, at the break. It remained double digits the rest of the way with the Golden Knights only able to get to within 10, 67-57, after fifth year guard
Adam Anderson completed a three-point play with 3:49 to go.

Anderson finished with 14 points and freshman guard
Tray Alexander recorded 11 points, six rebounds, and six assists to lead Saint Rose.

Junior forward Bryan Powell tossed in 27 points, on 11-for-15 shooting, while junior guard Brandon Powell and senior forward Marc Dadika contributed 15 and 13 respectively for the Setters, who had held each of their previous three opponents to under 60 points. Fifth year guard Brandon Jacobs handed out 13 assists, with only a pair of turnovers, and hauled in seven rebounds.

Up next, both squads are back in action Saturday. Saint Rose hosts NE10 rival New Haven at 3:30 pm in the second half of a league twin-bill. The Setters have a 1:00 pm non-conference date at College of Staten Island.
