#8 GOLDEN KNIGHTS POST DECISIVE WIN AT NEW HAVEN TO CLOSE OUT THEIR REGULAR SEASON


ALBANY, N.Y. - The College of Saint Rose wrapped up its regular season on a high note with tonight's convincing 7-0 victory at Northeast-10 Conference rival New Haven.
 
The second-seed Golden Knights (12-1-3/9-1-3 NE10) will commence their postseason journey Sunday with a 1:00 pm home match versus seventh-seed Adelphi in an NE10 Championship Tournament Quarterfinal. Saint Rose will be aiming for a league record ninth NE10 postseason title.
 
Six different players scored a goal for the Golden Knights (12-1-3/9-1-3 NE10), ranked #8 in this week's United Soccer Coaches National Poll. Saint Rose manufactured a 17-4 shot advantage, including a 13-2 differential in threats-on-target on the way to its 10th shutout of the season.
 
The Golden Knights used a pair of dominating sequences to secure the victory. They struck four times within a 17-minute span in the first half, and freshman forward Mia Klammer scored twice 59 seconds apart in the early going of the second stanza. Sophomore back Loryn DonVito closed out the scoring with her first career goal at the 82:12 mark.
 
Junior midfielder Janina Mueller, freshman back Alexandra Getfield, sophomore forward Lauren Amerena, and senior back Luisa Gaudl all scored in the first half.
 
Mueller, Klammer, and Amerena also picked up an assist, as did sophomore midfielder Tatiana Leggiero, sophomore back Sanna Rein, and freshman midfielder Isabella O'Clair.
Notes: The Golden Knights are 3-0-3 in overtime this fall…All-American keeper Marika Laurendeau is second among NE10 keepers with a 0.41 goals-against-average on the strength of nine shutouts, the nation's second best mark…She also stands second among the conference's leaders with an .873 save percentage…Mueller leads the league with seven assists…Freshman forward Mia Klammer is tied for the conference lead with 11 goals despite only playing 12 games…Saint Rose has outscored its 16 opponents 41-7…The Golden Knights sit atop the NE10 in scoring defense and scoring offense, with a 0.41 team GAA and a 2.56 goal scoring average…Seventeen players have accounted for the 41 goals…Laurendeau was named to the NE10 weekly honor roll Monday.
