ALBANY, N.Y. – The College of Saint Rose shot a season-high 62.9 percent (22-for-35) from the floor and outrebounded visiting Assumption 46-31 to upend the Greyhounds 93-74 this afternoon. The Golden Knights also put five players in double-figures scoring and limited Assumption to 20.0 percent (5-for-25) shooting from the arc.

"We played really well today. We had five players in double digits and our defense played the best it has played all season. Our guys continue to get better each and every day, and we will continue to work individually and collectively moving forward," said head coach

Saint Rose (4-12/1-6NE10) put itself in control by closing the final 7:36 of the first half on a 27-10 run that transformed a 27-21 lead into a 54-31 advantage at the break. The Golden Knights led by at least 20 throughout the majority of the second stanza and at one point were up 27, 73-46, after freshman guard
Manasseh Small finished a fast break.

Sophomore forward
Sekou Sylla continued to dominate with his 13th "double-double" of the year. Sylla scored 20 points, pulled down 10 rebounds, and handed out a career-best five assists. Junior guard
Adam Anderson tossed in 18 points while freshman swing
Cartier Bowman contributed 17 points, on 7-for-9 shooting, and nine boards. Small finished with season-highs of 16 points and six rebounds, while sophomore guard
Tyler Washington added 12 points behind 5-for-8 shooting.

Junior forward Malik Brown scored 18 of his game-high 22 points in the first half to pace the Greyhounds (8-6/2-5 NE10).

Looking ahead, both teams have 7:30 home league dates in front of them. Saint Rose faces Saint Michael's on Wednesday, while the Greyhounds host Pace on Tuesday.
