ALBANY, N.Y. - The College of Saint Rose dropped tonight's Northeast-10 Conference home game to Saint Anselm 67-56.

Senior guard
Ashley Vanderwall led the Golden Knights (11-9/4-9 NE10) with 17 points. Sophomore forward
Nina Fedullo added a "double-double" of 12 points, on 4-of-9 shooting, and 10 rebounds. She also registered three blocks, two assists and a pair of steals in her first start of the year. Junior forward
Leah Dollard was 4-of-7 from the field en route to 10 points.

Saint Anselm (15-4/10-4 NE10), slotted eighth in the latest D2SIDA East Regional Rankings, put three players in double figures. Junior forward Shannon Ryan led the way with a "double-double" of 25 points and 16 rebounds. The Boston College transfer, who went 11-of-19 from the floor, grabbed eight offensive boards and blocked three shots to help the Hawks improve to 9-0 on the road. Sophomore guard Peyton Steinman chipped in with 16 points, while senior guard Ashley Briggs tossed in 10.

After an even first quarter, Saint Anselm opened up some breathing room with an 8-1 run to start the second quarter. The Golden Knights responded with a 14-5 run across the final 5:56 to head into the locker room tied at 32. Vanderwall and Ryan recorded 14 first half points apiece.

Ryan then kicked off a 12-3 Hawks run with a three-point play with 5:12 left in the third. The 3:39 stretch turned a tie-game into a nine-point advantage for the visitors.

Saint Anselm increased its control by starting the final period on a 7-2 jaunt. Saint Rose was unable to get closer than seven across the final six minutes.

Both squads have home NE10 games up next. Saint Rose hosts Merrimack Saturday at 1:30 pm. The matinee will be the team's Senior Day. Fans that are unable to make it to Daniel P. Nolan Gymnasium to attend the game can follow all the action live on
