The Golden Knights (10-5/3-5 NE10), which had their six-game winning streak snapped, put three players in double figures. Junior forward
Leah Dollard led the way with 17 points and six rebounds on the way to being named the Player of the Game by the Capital District Chapter of the Saint Rose Alumni Association. Senior guard
Ashley Vanderwall added a dozen points, while junior guard
Courtney Clasen finished with 10.

Senior guard Amy McConnell topped Bentley (14-2/8-1 NE10), the national leaders in three-point field goal percentage, with 18 points, including 10 in the final quarter. She grabbed eight rebounds and sank nine foul shots. Junior guard Julia Ford chipped in with 11 points.

The Saturday matinee began relatively even, before the Falcons opened some breathing room with a 17-6 run that bridged the first two periods. The 5:17 stretch turned a one point, 17-16, Saint Rose lead into a double-digit deficit. Bentley eventually took a 44-32 halftime lead..

The Golden Knights battled back in the third quarter to trail 54-49 entering the final period. After junior guard
Cameron Graupman knocked down a pair of foul shots, Bentley led by one, 54-53, with 8:35 remaining. McConnell answered with a trey on the next possession to stem the Saint Rose momentum. The Golden Knights could get no closer than two from there.     Â
