GOLDEN KNIGHTS UPENDED 3-1 BY BRIDGEPORT

Archie and Schweitzer combine for 28 kills

ALBANY, N.Y. - Sophomore middle hitter Kyla Archie and junior outside hitter Stevie Schweitzer combined for 28 kills but The College of Saint Rose lost 3-1 to visiting Bridgeport tonight. The Golden Knights (6-5) fell by scores of 22-25, 25-15, 25-11 and 25-19.
 
After hitting .290 while holding Bridgeport to .032 hitting to take a close first set, the Golden Knights only managed 26 kills the rest of the way.
 
Bridgeport (5-3) received 14 kills from junior outside hitter Morgan Knight, while senior setter Ellie Rich distributed 28 assists.
 
Archie recorded 14 kills on .280 hitting for Saint Rose.
 
Both teams are in action later this week. The Golden Knights will host Queens on Saturday at 1:00 pm. Bridgeport is home vs. Mercy tomorrow night.
