PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. – The College of Saint Rose loaded the bases in the ninth inning only to fall 6-1 to
Northeast-10 Conference rival Southern Connecticut State in its regular-season finale today. The game was originally scheduled to be played at Bob Bellizzi Field, but was moved south to Pace University due to today's rainfall in the Albany area.

The Owls (21-23/5-13 NE10) scored four times in the fifth inning and added two more in the sixth. The Golden Knights (17-24/9-15 NE10) got one back in their half of the seventh and threatened in the ninth, but ultimately could not cut any deeper into their deficit.

Matt McKinnon had two hits apiece, while freshman catcher
Samuel Brioso and sophomore designated hitter
Andrew Pedone both doubled to lead Saint Rose. Senior shortstop
Mark Powell drove in the Saint Rose run with a base hit to left, while senior right-hander
Alex Tomlinson hurled 2.1 innings of shutout ball in relief.

For Southern Connecticut State, junior left fielder Nick Lambert finished 3-for-4 with two runs scored.
