SOFTBALL HONORS QUARTET

Golden Knights Fall 2-0 to Pace on Senior Day

ALBANY, N.Y. – The College of Saint Rose softball team fell 2-0 to visiting Pace University in Northeast-10 Conference action this afternoon.

The Setters (23-19/15-9 NE10) opened the scoring in the third. With two outs, sophomore outfielder Stephanie Wang singled home senior infielder Ashley Lew, who had doubled. The tally was enough for Pace sophomore right-hander Emma Bernet, the league leader in ERA, in her three-hitter.
 
Wang and senior outfielder Jordan Chillinsky had two hits apiece for the visitors, which tacked on an unearned insurance run in the sixth.

Before the game, Saint Rose (13-24/7-13 NE10) recognized seniors catcher Sydney Cimini, right-hander Dana Nicoletti, outfielder Katie Shevlin, and infielder Taylor Solomon for their contributions to the program.

The teams are scheduled to play a doubleheader tomorrow. First pitch is set for 11:00 am.
