WINSTON-SALEM, N.C.–The College of Saint Rose scored seven runs in the top of the sixth inning after falling behind 12-0 in the nightcap of today's twin-bill, but host Winston-Salem State was able to hang on for a 13-9 victory. The host Rams (13-6) thus ran their win streak to eight games after taking the opener 5-2. 
Senior catcher 
Tom Moore went 1-for 3 with a two double run down the left line in the second to account for the two of Golden Knights (5-5) runs in the matinee. Junior center fielder Randy Norris went 3-for-4 with an RBI and three runs scored to lead Winston-Salem State.
 
In the nightcap, junior first baseman 
Nicolas Teitter finished 3-for-4 with a run scored, senior third baseman 
Joe Foran went 2-for-3 with an RBI, and junior designated hitter 
Kenny Fils-Aime wound up 2-for-3 with a run scored as well. Furthermore, senor left fielder 
Matt McKinnon finished 2-for-2 with an RBI, while senior center fielder 
Brian Uliana drove in a pair of runs.
 
Norris and senior designated hitter John Garcia had three hits apiece and senior right fielder Brandon Ford drove in four runs for the Rams.
 
Looking ahead, Saint Rose will begin its three-day, five game residency at the USA Baseball National Training Complex in Gary, NC on Friday when the Golden Knights take on Dominican at 1:00 pm. Meanwhile, Winston-Salem State opens a four-game, weekend series with a 1:00 pm home twin-bill Saturday versus Indiana (PA).
