ALBANY, N.Y. – The College of Saint Rose closed out its 2018 campaign in dramatic fashion with this evening's 1-0, double-overtime win against visiting Northeast-10 Conference rival New Haven on Senior Night.
Â
"I'm just really happy that our seniors got to go out winners. They're a great group of guys that have really elevated the program and I will miss them dearly. We were really disappointed that we did not get into the playoffs this year, but the team showed real resiliency to come out and get the overtime win against a well-coached New Haven team. There were a lot of positives to take away from this season, and we're thankful to end on a high note," said head coach
John Ciano.
Â
Junior midfielder
Victor Goncalves-Rocha struck with the game-winner midway through the second extra session when he redirected in a feed from the right flank off the foot of freshman midfielder
Ismael Aourid.
Â
Meanwhile, freshman keeper
Ryan Henning recorded all eight of his saves after halftime on the way to first collegiate shutout.
Â
Each squad had their chances to end it as they generated 11 combined shots-on-goal, but Goncalves-Rocha made sure the third such opportunity for Saint Rose mattered.

Prior to tonight's match,
Orel Taib,
Jean-Philippe Rutabayiro,
