"I am proud of the grit our guys showed against a very talented SNHU team. We battled and continued to battle until the buzzer. We just needed another minute tonight, said head coach
Brian Beaury. "The good news is this team should be rewarded with an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament."

Senior forward

However, Saint Rose turned the ball over itself with five seconds left that allowed Southern New Hampshire to dribble out the clock and run its home record to 16-0 on the year.
Â
The contest was close throughout with a pair of ties and six lead changes. Neither team was able to generate more than the aforementioned nine point advantage as well.

Â
Saint Rose twice knotted the score throughout the second half and took a 53-52 lead with 6:57 remaining after Sayre put back an offensive rebound. However, the Penmen countered with a 13-3 run that put themselves up nine, 65-56, and set up a wild finish in front of an energetic near sell-out crowd of 1,185.
