ALBANY-The College of Saint Rose rallied from a 15 point, third period deficit only to fall 76-75 in overtime to visiting
Northeast-10 Conference rival Pace University tonight. The Setters overcame 3-for-11 shooting from the arc by outscoring the Golden Knights 15-8 at the foul line.

Karissa Birthwright put back the second of two missed free throws by senior guard
Taylor Nazon with two seconds remaining to force overtime with the scored deadlocked 68-68. Nazon missed her first one with the Golden Knights down a bucket, and then rolled her second off the back rim out of a timeout.

The fourth period featured six ties and a like number of lead changes, and the extra session had a pair of lead changes, but the Setters (12-14/6-12 NE10) held the Golden Knights scoreless throughout the final 1:42 to come away with the victory.

Sophomore guard
Ashley Vanderwall went 7-for-12 from the arc to lead Saint Rose (12-13/7-12 NE10) with a season-high 23 points. Meanwhile, Birthwright and senior forward
Staci Barrett both recorded "double-doubles". The former finished with 16 points and 12 rebounds, while Barrett had 15 points and 10 boards in her 100th game wearing a Golden Knights uniform.

Saint Rose closed the third period with a 16-6 charge that transformed a 48-33 deficit into a 54-49 one heading to the fourth. Nazon came up with a steal and finished to ignite it, and Birthwright put back her own miss to cap it.

Vanderwall later drained a 3-pointer that tied the game for the seventh time, 55-55, with 8:47 left in regulation. Four more deadlocks ensued before sophomore guard Alexandra Monteleone scored inside to put the Setters ahead, 68-66 with 42 ticks showing on the clock. Pace then then fouled three times, the last one putting Nazon on the line in the bonus situation.

Freshman guard Jackie DellisSanti tossed in 20 points and senior center Kirsten Dodge finished with 19 points and 10 boards for Pace. Monteleone wound up with 15.

Looking ahead, both teams are back on the floor Saturday with 1:30 pm home contests. The Golden Knights will host American International for their regular-season finale and annual PinkZone Game, while the Setters will take on New Haven.
