WORCESTER, MA-The College of Saint Rose had its six game win streak snapped with tonight's 69-46 setback at
Northeast-10 Conference rival Assumption. The host Greyhounds held the Golden Knights to 34.1 percent (15-for-44) shooting from the floor to chalk up their ninth victory in the last 10 games while improving to 7-1 at home.

Saint Rose (9-6/4-5 NE10) started off well by opening up a four point, opening period lead before Assumption scored the final two buckets to deadlock the game 15-15 after the first. Senior guard Allison Stoddard knocked down a jumper just before the buzzer to forge the tie.

The Greyhounds (10-4/6-4 NE10) then picked up right where they left off with a 12-2 jaunt to open the second that made it a 27-17 ballgame with 6:47 to go until intermission. Assumption eventually went into the locker room up 42-26 and owned a double digit advantage the rest of the way.

Ashley Vanderwall and sophomore forward
Karissa Birthwright scored six apiece.

Stoddard and senior forward Jo Impellizeri scored 13 points each to pace the Greyhounds.

Looking ahead, Saint Rose is back home Saturday to take on NE10 rival Franklin Pierce. The first half of the league twin-bill is scheduled to tip off at 1:30 pm. Meanwhile, Assumption has a 3:30 pm conference date at New Haven Saturday.
