ALBANY-The College of Saint Rose suffered a 3-2 (24-26, 27-25, 26-24, 16-25, 8-15) setback on Saturday afternoon to visiting Edinboro in non-league action at Daniel P. Nolan Gymnasium.

The first three games of the match were decided by two points apiece and Saint Rose emerged with a 2-1 advantage following a game-clinching service ace in the third set by senior outside hitter
Rachel Salasky.

The Golden Knights held a 6-2 advantage in the fourth set; however a 7-0 run by Edinboro transformed a 13-12 deficit into a 19-13 lead that allowed the Fighting Scots to ultimately even the match at 2-2.

Edinboro then jumped out to an 8-3 lead in the final frame and kept the Golden Knights at arm's length to secure the team's seventh straight victory.

Senior outside hitter
Maryellen Devic recorded a match-high 17 kills behind a .366 attack percentage. She also added 18 digs and two blocks. Senior middle blocker
 Jennifer Gundrum tied her season high with 13 kills, while junior middle hitter
Maddy Halverson collected a match-best five blocks.

For the Fighting Scots, junior outside hitter Challen Litwiler recorded a team-high 15 kills while recording 14 digs, two aces and a block.

The Golden Knights return to the court on Tuesday, September 20 at 7:00 pm to take on Le Moyne in the Upstate Challenge.
