COLCHESTER, VT–The College of Saint Rose wrapped up its 2016 campaign on a bright note with today's 3-2 (25-21, 24-26, 25-17, 20-25, 15-12) triumph at
Northeast-10 Conference rival Saint Michael's that took two hours and 22 minutes to complete.
"It is always good to be able to end a tough season on a high note, especially when you're graduating five seniors. That group has meant a lot to this program and has raised the standard for future Saint Rose women's volleyball teams," said head coach
Vanessa Volpe-Rivera.
The Golden Knights came out on top in the first and third sets after rallying from two down to tie the second set, before the Purple Knights (3-16/1-13 NE-10) prevailed 26-24. Saint Michael's then opened up an 18-10 lead en route to a 25-20 win in the fourth.
