ROCKVILLE CENTER, NY-The College of Saint Rose fell 3-0 (25-20, 25-23, 25-20) to NYIT before delivering a 3-0 (25-11, 25-10, 25-20) sweep of its own to host Molloy in non-conference action on Saturday.

Four different Golden Knights (6-8) recorded five or more digs in the opener, but the balanced attack was not able to keep pace with regional power NYIT (17-2).

Freshman outside hitter
Stevie Schweitzer tallied a season-best 11 digs and three service aces to go along with eight kills. Senior outside hitter
Maryellen Devic totaled a team-best 10 kills with eight digs and two aces.

In match two, Saint Rose dominated the first two sets and finished with a season best .368 team hitting percentage, while Molloy (4-16) was held to a .032 percentage.

Devic led the Golden Knights with 14 kills and hit .406 while collecting 11 digs and an ace. Sophomore middle hitter
Shayna Webber recorded eight kills on 11 attacks (.636) and totaled a team-high two aces.

Senior outside hitter
Rachel Salasky notched five kills on six attempts and four blocks.

Looking ahead, Saint Rose returns to
Northeast-10 Conference play on Tuesday, October 11 with a 7:00 pm match at American International.
