ALBANY-The College of Saint Rose fell behind early in Saturday's game against visiting Stonehill, and could not erase a 19-point first period deficit, ultimately falling 65-47 on Senior Day held inside Daniel P. Nolan Gymnasium.

Saint Rose (14-7/8-6 NE-10) cut the lead down to eight points at the 7:28 mark in the fourth period with a layup from senior guard
Keyontae Williams. However, Stonehill (11-9/6-8 NE-10) canned three-pointers on its following two possessions and made a defensive stop to push the lead back up to 14 with 4:49 to go, virtually sealing the victory.

Junior forward
Staci Barrett paced the Golden Knights with 12 points and 12 rebounds for her fourth "double-double" of the year. She was named Capital District Chapter of the Saint Rose Alumni Association Player of the Game following the impressive showing.

Williams finished with nine points, five assists, four rebounds and two steals. Freshman forward
Karissa Birthwright totaled eight points, three boards, two blocks and two steals.

For the Skyhawks, senior guard Paige Marshall led all scorers with 14 points on 5-of-10 shooting.

Jocelyn Strack was the women's basketball selection for the inaugural
John Pesce Memorial Award. The award honors John's legacy, and is given to a player who embodies his spirit and commitment to team and school.
