NORTH EASTON, MA–The College of Saint Rose opened its
Northeast-10 Conference docket in outstanding fashion with this afternoon's 3-1 victory at Stonehill. The Golden Knights (2-1/1-0 NE-10) scored all three of their goals in the first half and forged a balanced attack with six different players figuring in the scoring column.

Saint Rose struck in the opening three minutes and twice within a five minute span late in the period, before the Skyhawks (3-2/0-1 NE-10) got on the board midway through the second stanza.

Sophomore back
Nathan Brown, sophomore forward
Romaine Williamson, and junior forward
Joshua Hanif all found the back of the net as the Golden Knights engineered a 5-0 shot-on-goal differential throughout the opening 45 minutes.

Brown finished a deflection off a corner kick to make it 1-0 and then Williamson delivered the game-winner with 32:07 elapsed when he one-touched home a cross from senior midfielder
Nick Iuorno. Hanif then made it 3-0 with 39:30 gone by.

Stonehill sophomore midfielder Connor O'Brien ruined the clean sheet at the 59:53 mark when he found the lower left corner via a pass from sophomore forward Adam Branco off the right flank.

Looking ahead, both teams return to the pitch this Saturday. Saint Rose will host third-ranked and three time defending NE-10 champion Southern New Hampshire at 5:00 pm. Meanwhile, Stonehill has a 7:00 pm date at Franklin Pierce in Rindge, NH.
