#17 GOLDEN KNIGHTS WIN FIFTH STRAIGHT TO WRAP-UP REGULAR-SEASON SCHEDULE

ALBANY–The College of Saint Rose wrapped up its 2015 regular-season by running its win streak to five matches with today's 2-1 victory at Northeast-10 Conference rival Merrimack. In the process, the Golden Knights snapped the Warriors three-game win streak while dealing them their first home setback this season.

Saint Rose (14-2-2/12-2-0 NE-10) will now host an NE-10 Championship quarterfinal on Tuesday at 4:00 pm against a yet to be determined opponent.

The Golden Knights scored twice within a five minute span midway through the first half to afford themselves a 2-1 halftime lead, before the Warriors (11-4-3/8-4-2 NE-10) got one back in the 74th minute.

Senior forwards Jennifer Busk and Silvana Giovannone both scored their sixth goals of the season to spearhead the Saint Rose attack. Between the posts, freshman keeper Madison Taylo made four of her six saves after intermission to keep Merrimack at bay. Senior midfielder Gianna Smith set up Busk's goal.

Freshman midfielder Gig Guenther accounted for the Warriors strike, while senior keeper Meghan Gulbrandsen recorded seven saves.
