Soroya Hudson

Soroya Hudson was named the Interim Head Coach of The College of Saint Rose cross country and track & field programs on July 1, 2021.
 
“We are delighted to have Soroya at the helm of our men’s and women’s track and field and cross country programs. Soroya’s experience as a decorated Saint Rose student-athlete, along with her knowledge and passion for developing athletes on and off the track and course, will prove instrumental in the growth and future success of these programs,” said Lori Anctil, Associate Vice President and Director of Athletics, at the time of her appointment.


 
Hudson, a 2014 Saint Rose graduate who was an NCAA qualifier while competing for the Golden Knights, spent the previous eight years as an assistant coach with the program.
 
Hudson was a Northeast-10 Conference Champion and All-Region performer and was the first Saint Rose female student-athlete to qualify for the NCAA Championships. She finished 20th in the triple jump in 2013 and still has one of the top-10 triple jumps in NE10 history. The team captain also still holds the program's outdoor triple jump and high jump records.
 
A native of Cornwall, N.Y., Hudson earned a bachelor's degree in accounting from Saint Rose.
