Welch went 4-1 with a 0.94 ERA and a pair of shutouts last week. She fanned 29 batters in 29.2 innings of work, surrendering just seven extra-base hits and a .223 opponent batting average. Welch fanned seven and walked two over the distance in a 7-2 win at Saint Michael's Tuesday. She then yielded just four hits in a 3-0 shutout win at Stonehill the very next day. Over the weekend, Welch fanned eight batters, walked none and surrendered an unearned run in a 3-2 win versus UMass Lowell. Finally, she struck out seven and walked one while allowing four hits in an 8-0 shutout win versus Franklin Pierce.
