Junior Michelle Lujan captured gold in the 3000 meter steeplechase at the Northeast-10 Championships after crossing the finish line in 10:59.48 to record an NCAA provisional mark and shave 17 seconds off of her previous best time. On Friday, she recorded a fifth place finish in the 1500 meter run. She completed the race in 4:41.93, a personal best and third-fastest time in school record books.
