Sayre averaged 32.5 points, on 57.9 percent (22-for38) shooting from the floor, on the strength of back-to-back 30-plus point efforts. He also averaged 6.5 rebounds and went 18-for-19 from the foul line throughout a 1-1 week. Sayre had 33 points and six boards during Wednesday’s 74-69 setback at Adelphi. He then poured in 32 points and hauled in seven rebounds in Saturday’s 85-79 win against visiting Southern Connecticut State.
