Sayre averaged 20.5 points, on 67.9 percent (13-for-21) shooting from the floor, and 4.5 rebounds throughout a 1-1 week for the Golden Knights. He scored 18 of his 22 points in the second half and pulled down four boards during Saturday’s 95-74 win versus Adelphi. Sayre also tossed in 19 points to become only the 29th player in Golden Knights annals to record 1,000 career points during Wednesday’s 83-71 setback at Stonehill.
