Lloyd placed eighth in the first heat of the 3,000 meter steeplechase and 16th overall among the two heats with a clocking of 9:42.07 at the NCAA Division II Outdoor Championships on Thursday. He finished just 12 seconds behind cracking the top 12 that advanced to Friday's championship run.
