Yafayev finished with three first place finishes, three second place finishes, three school records and three NCAA Division II provisional qualifying times to lead the Golden Knights at the Northeast-10 Conference Championships over the weekend. Yafayev defended his 200 IM (1:52.86) and 400 IM (4:00.48) titles and registered NCAA provisional standards in both. He also helped the 400 medley relay finish first in a school record time of 3:29.93. His other school mark came in the 200 backstroke when he finished second in 1:52.77. Yafayev additionally helped the 200 and 800 freestyle relay squads take second.
