Puopolo scored both game-winning-goals and had three strikes altogether to lead the Golden Knights past Armstrong Atlantic and Grand Valley State en route to the national championship. She scored twice within an 11-minute span in the second period to lead Saint Rose back from a 1-0 halftime deficit in Saturday’s championship 2-1 victory versus the Lakers and also struck in the seventh minute during Thursday’s 2-0 semifinal triumph versus Armstrong. Puopolo tied (Jenn Camardello ‘92 & Wendy Barker ‘88) the school single-season mark with 19 goals as well.
