Horton fired a final round 69 that followed a first round score of 76 to capture the individual title at the Eagle Shootout on Monday with a two-day score of 145. Horton carded the lowest round in school annals as well as the best round of the tournament, which featured 64 competitors from 13 institutions. Furthermore, it marked the first time in the nine-year history of the golf program that a player broke 70.
