Brauer became the first female in program history to represent the Golden Knights at the NCAA Championships. She missed qualifying for the 200-yard breaststroke finals by a mere 0.28 seconds by finishing in 2:23.07 to place 17th among 34 competitors. Her performance was the event’s second-fastest clocking by a freshman. Earlier in the meet, Brauer swam a time of 2:09.78 to wind up 31st among 54 participants in the women’s 200 individual medley on Wednesday. She furthermore recorded an 18th place preliminary time of 4:33.23 in the women’s 400 IM the following day.
