WORCESTER, Mass. – The College of Saint Rose was swept in this afternoon's Northeast-10 Conference doubleheader at Assumption. The Golden Knights (11-13/5-5 NE10) fell by scores of 6-1 and 3-2 (8 innings).

The Greyhounds (16-11/10-5 NE10), winners of eight of their last nine, used a five-run fourth to take a 6-0 lead in the opener. Senior infielder
Briana Bowen capped her 3-for-4 effort by scoring on an error in the seventh for the lone Saint Rose marker.
Sophomore catcher
Liz D'Agostino had two hits, including an RBI single, to pace the Golden Knights offense in the extra inning setback. Assumption sophomore infielder Alyssa Bialakis hit a walk-off homer to left for the decisive run.
Looking ahead, NE10 play continues on Tuesday afternoon at 3:00 pm. Saint Rose travels to Springfield, Mass. for a date with American International. Meanwhile, Assumption plays two at Stonehill.

Samantha Allen was named the NE10 Rookie of the Week on Monday…She tops Saint Rose with six wins in the circle... Bowen, who was named to Monday's weekly honor roll, is batting a team-best .438 (35-for-80)...The Saint Rose table-setter, in the midst of a nine-game hitting streak, has gotten a hit in 20 of the 24 games played this year.
