SOFTBALL SPLITS DOUBLEHEADER AT PACE

BRIARCLIFF MANOR, N.Y. - The College of Saint Rose split a Northeast-10 Conference doubleheader at Pace this afternoon. The Golden Knights lost the opener 13-1 before taking the second game 6-4.

Saint Rose (5-11/3-1 NE10) put together a six-run sixth to win the second game. Sophomore outfielder Astasia Myler doubled in two and senior infielder Kayla Bancroft emptied the bases with a three-run triple in the frame.

Sophomore right-hander Roma Mazzariello went the distance to garner her third win (3-4) of the spring.

The Setters (10-7/ 4-1 NE) scored five in the second and seven in the fourth to end the first game early.

Junior right-hander Dana Nicoletti, sophomore outfielder Briana Bowen and Bancroft each had hits for the Golden Knights.  Junior catcher Sydney Cimini scored the lone Saint Rose run. 

Saint Rose plays next Tuesday, April 4 vs. American International.  The first game of the NE10 doubleheader is slated to begin at 4pm.  Pace travels to New Haven for two games Wednesday at 3pm.
