Maryellen Devic notched a match-high 12 kills with just one error for a .423 hitting percentage to lead the Golden Knights (12-1/4-0 NE-10). Sophomore
Kelsey Lace added 10 kills on the strength of a .348 hitting percentage while junior libero
Katy Daniels racked up 25 digs. Saint Rose played key defense at the net with 10.0 blocks to hold the Yellow Jackets (10-10/4-2 NE-10) a -.092 hitting percentage. Furthermore, freshman
Rachel Salasky recorded five of the team's 10 service aces.

Sophomore outside hitter Britt Bryant swung for five kills and a service ace, while senior libero Caitlin Connelly added 14 digs and two kills for American International.

An 8-2 lead that was highlighted by two service aces from Devic helped Saint Rose take control of the opening set. Additionally, senior outside
Christina Strezenec served for nine straight points.

Lace helped build an advantage in the second game with nine consecutive serves to go along with five kills on eight attempts. Junior setters
Ariana Wilson and
Tori Daniels each picked up six assists.

Four service aces by Salasky within the third game's first six points as well as seven kills by Devic helped closed out the match. Salasky totaled all five of her aces in the set. Katy Daniels and freshman defensive specialist
Samantha Atchinson protected the back line with six digs each.

Both teams return to action Saturday for 1:00 pm matches. The Golden Knights travel to Pleasantville, NY to face Pace while American International hosts Adelphi in Springfield, MA.
