Box Score PLEASANTVILLE, NY – Host Pace University jumped out to a 9-0 lead and never looked back to hand The College of Saint Rose a 57-36 defeat in a Northeast-10 Conference contest this afternoon at the Goldstein Athletic Center.

Senior guard Ashley Rath tossed in 11 points and senior center Ali Johnson wound up with nine points and eight rebounds to lead the Golden Knights (15-8/12-7 NE-10) who had their three-game win streak snapped.

Senior forward Brittany Shields registered a “double-double” with 19 points and 13 rebounds to lead the Setters (17-6/14-5 NE-10) who are receiving votes in this week's USA Today/ESPN Division Poll. Senior guard Carol Johnson finished with 15 points and senior guard Kerri White added 11 thanks to 3-for-4 shooting from the arc.

Saint Rose was held to a pair of field goals throughout the final 12 minutes of the first half that allowed Pace to transform a 17-10 lead into a 17 point, 34-17, advantage at the break that the Setters maintained throughout the final 20 minutes.

Looking ahead, both squads return to the hardwood for 5:30 pm conference dates Tuesday. The Golden Knights will host Assumption, while the Setters will head to Long Island to visit Adelphi.
