College of Saint Rose Athletics

A member of the class of 1996, Tara distinguished herself as a superlative multi-faceted swimmer throughout her tenure at Saint Rose. She recorded a staggering 147 first place finishes during her career and graduated as the school record holder in the 500, 1,000 and 1,650-yard freestyles and the 400 individual medley. She was also part of school records in every relay discipline; the 200, 400 and 800 freestyles and both the 200 and 400 medley relays. Furthermore, her 1,000 freestyle standard stood for 16-years until it was finally surpassed during the 2008-09 season. Tara chalked up 44 victories as a senior, won 33 of the 38 races she competed in as a junior, touched first in 31 of the 35 races she swam as a sophomore and either set or helped set nine school records as a freshman in 1992-93.
