The 1999-00 women’s basketball ran off a then NCAA Division II record 34 consecutive victories before falling to eventual national champion Northern Kentucky in an NCAA Tournament National Quarterfinal “Elite Eight” encounter in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. The Golden Knights also captured their sixth consecutive New York Collegiate Athletic Conference Championship, were the nation’s top-ranked team for most of the season, and outscored their opponents by an average of 28.9 points.
