College of Saint Rose Athletics

The 1997-98 men's basketball team finished 27-6 and advanced to the national semifinals by defeating Fairmont State (WV) 77-73 in double overtime, before falling to eventual national champion UC Davis. The squad also captured the program’s third East Coast Conference (then known as the New York Collegiate Athletic Conference) title in a four-year span, before upending Stonehill 97-87 in double overtime in the NCAA Division II Northeast Regional Championship tilt.
