NEW ORLEANS – When the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced its NCAA Division II preseason national rankings last week, The College of Saint Rose men’s and women’s cross country teams each found themselves among the top-10 teams in the East Region. Both squads are making their fourth straight appearance in the preseason poll.

ALBANY – The College of Saint Rose has announced its men’s and women’s cross country schedules for the 2010 season. The Golden Knights will compete in a total of seven events throughout five different states while also hosting their own meet for the sixth time.

BETHLEHEM, PA – The College of Saint Rose cross country teams both had exceptional all-around performances at the prestigious 36th annual Brooks Paul Short Run on the campus of Lehigh University this afternoon. The event is one of the nation’s most respected cross country competitions. It featured 14 different races with some 5,000 competitors from colleges and high schools throughout the United States.

BETHPAGE, NY – Sophomore Macky Lloyd ran the second fastest 8k time in school history to lead The College of Saint Rose men’s squad to its third consecutive team victory today. Lloyd crossed the line third overall among 100 entries with a 25:45.90 clocking at the NYIT Running of the Bears Invitational that was held at Bethpage State Park on Long Island. His 8k performance is second only to Mark Delf’s 25:39 clocking at the University at Albany in 1993.

LOUDONVILLE, NY – The College of Saint Rose men’s team sent across three of the top-five and five of the top-10 finishers en route to a first place showing among seven complete institutions at the fifth annual Golden Knights Joust that was hosted by the College at The Crossings of Colonie today. In the women’s race, Saint Rose also had five of the top-10 performers to place first among six complete entries to sweep the team titles.
